Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss In ‘Magnificent Mauve’
This month at Glossip Girl, we are in full celebration mode! With a bevy of work achievements, birthdays and engagements, our team is definitely in a festive mood. Being the makeup junkies that we are, we’ve also been rocking some pretty great glosses this month… because let’s face it, lip glosses are truly the sparkliest and happiest of all our makeup items! One of our favourites has been Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Gloss in ‘Magnificent Mauve’. Check out our review below.
The gloss comes packaged in a luxe, transparent tube with a printed gold cap. What really puts this lip gloss in a league of its own, is the narrow neck of the tube. Why is this so important? Because this means that you will always have the perfect amount of gloss, without any leakage or oozing. The doe foot applicator is also a huge plus as it covers lips evenly, in one swipe. The shade name and finish is mentioned on a sticker below the tube.

As much as we love the packaging, we have to admit that the formula is the true winner. Usually, high shine glosses are accompanied with a large amount of stickiness… but not this gloss! One coat delivered sheer, silky colour that went on our lips smoothly, without any tugging. ‘Magnificent Mauve’ is a shimmery, pale mauve that is packed with minute glitter particles. The gloss does have a faint, fruity scent which fades away in a few minutes.

If the packaging and formula aren’t enough to convince you, then the longevity definitely will! The gloss lasted on our lips for a good 5 hours, which included several slices of cake. We love the fact that the neither the colour nor the shine faded throughout the wear. The most impressive part however, was that the product did not dry out our lips at all, but surprising left them plush and hydrated.
For a pout that stays put all day, consider this magnificent gloss! Long lasting, non-sticky and shimmery, this gloss also makes our lips look fuller. Wear it alone or layer it on top of your favourite lipstick – this beauty will shine either way. Now, back to our celebrations!
