The 20s – a decade where you enjoy the perks of being an adult (no bed time!), while still facing the teenage angst of having combination skin. As much as we love staying up bingeing on Netflix, we often wish that our skin would behave better. In an effort to curb the grease slick that appears on our T-zone, we decided to try out Benefit’s ‘The POREfessional Face Primer’. Here are our thoughts.
The primer comes in a cute, travel-friendly tube. The bright turquoise packaging shows off the quirky name of the product. We love the fact that one squeeze of the tube dispenses only a small amount – we hate wasting our precious makeup products!
As per instructions, we dabbed (not smeared!) the primer on to our nose and chin. The oil-free formula feels super silky and has a slight powdery feel to it. Although the primer is flesh-toned in the tube, it dries translucently on to skin. Fair warning though, the product does contain silicones, so if you are allergic to this ingredient, you should stay away.

The results? Quite like an Instagram filter! The primer blurs out imperfections and smoothens skin to create an even canvas for makeup. True to its name, it minimizes the appearance of pores instantly. The biggest pro however, is that the product keeps skin matte for over 6 hours.
Velvety, lightweight and mattifying, this primer is a must for those with combination or oily skin. Wear it alone or under a full face of makeup – we guarantee that you will not be disappointed!
