We’re in the last week of 2018 and what a year it’s turned out to be! After recapping some of the most notable makeup that I tried out over the past year, I thought it’s time to do the same for skincare and hair products! Without further ado, here’s a look at the most innovative and effective items in those categories.
1. Biologique Recherche's P50 Lotion
What can I say about this product that already hasn’t been said? Brightening, smoothing, clarifying… this watery toner truly does it all. If you have to splurge on just one skincare product, make it this one.
2. Olaplex No.3
When I first heard about the re-bonding properties of this at-home treatment, I was skeptical. However, after seeing nearly instantaneous results of stronger and less frizzy locks, I’m a believer.
3. Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream
Matte moisturizer sounds like an oxymoron, but it’s actually the perfect term to describe this cream! Lightweight, quick-absorbing and fragrance-free, this formula is a delight for those with combination-to-oily skin.
4. The Ordinary’s AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
The deep red colour of this peeling solution is a good clue to how strong this product is. Since it’s packed with a high concentration of exfoliating acids, it deals with congestion and dead skin like a boss. However, it does cause an immense about of tingling!
5. Christophe Robin’s Cleansing Purifying Scrub
Gritty, yet gentle, this scalp scrub is one of a kind. Whether you want to get rid of product build-up or are dealing with an itchy scalp, this salty formula will have your back.
6. Dr. Jart+ Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Cream
This healing cream was a saviour for my rosacea-prone skin. Whilst the formula is quite heavy, it works wonders on stressed out or severely dry skin.
7. Biologique Recherche Masque Vivant
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’ve use a ton of face masks. This one however, has become my go-to. Although it smells disgusting, it balances out my complexion and nixes zits in no time. What more can a girl wish for?
