‘You got mud on your face,
You big disgrace’
We apologise for this totally awesome 70s music flashback, but guys, look how far we have come! In 2015, it is socially acceptable (even trendy) to have mud on your face, especially if it is GlamGlow’s PowerMud Dualcleanse Treatment. We had to try out it out for you so here are our thoughts.
On the ingredient front, the mask is packed with a whole lot of goodness. Featuring 4 nourishing oils (prickly pear oil, pine oil, frankincense oil, and myrrh oil), a clay blend and Teaoxi Velvet Leaf, this treatment sounds like heaven for those with oily, yet sensitive skin.
The mask comes in an eye-catching, lime green jar, with a pretty silver star on top. We would have preferred it if the mask was packaged in a tube form, as dipping your fingers into the mask isn’t the most hygienic practice. The green apple scent can be a problem for those with sensitive noses.
Now for the fun part! As instructed, we applied a thin layer on to our dry skin. We left it on for a full 10 minutes to allow it to dry completely. On adding a bit of warm water to our face, we were immensely surprised (and delighted!) to see that this gritty mask transformed into a cleansing oil. The micro-granules exfoliated our skin gently, while the oils hydrated our face. Our skin felt cleaner, clearer and infinitely smoother.
We’ve been using this mask for close to 2 months now and honestly, we couldn’t be more pleased. Our acne flare ups have died down and those stubborn blackheads have begun to disappear. The treatment can be a tad drying for those with dry skin, but is a saviour for oily-skinned people. Either way, be sure to moisturise after using this mask.
Gentle, effective and ultra-luxurious, GlamGlow’s Powermud Dualcleanse Treatment is one of a kind. The treatment will definitely take up most of your pay check, so go ahead and buy the smaller one first. Just layer it and power on!
