We loved Frozen for so many reasons – the sisterly bond between Anna and Elsa, Olaf (!) and of course for ‘Let It Go’, the song that has inspired several bathroom karaoke sessions. Another unexpected reason why we love it? The beautiful complexions of the lead characters!
Okay, we aren’t crazy. We know that that the movie was animated, but it lead us to think of a favourite beauty trick that makeup artists use all around the world! What are we talking about? Ice! Read on to see how a cube of ice can make all the difference to your beauty routine.
Better Complexion
Put away the steamer and grab an ice tray. Wrap a few cubes of ice in a fine handkerchief, and rub it all over your face for a couple of minutes. Not only will you feel refreshed, but you will also have smaller pores, tightened skin and a fabulous glow!
Acne Treatment
Got a huge, painful zit that is the bane of your existence? Pop a couple of cubes of ice into a Ziploc bag and hold it against your pimple. The cold will relieve pain, decrease inflammation and shrink the zit. Do this twice a day to get results.
De-puff Eyes
If you spent last night partying it up, or pulled an all-nighter in the library, then puffy eyes are bound to happen. A cold compress will revive tired eyes and reduce the appearance of swollen bags. Simply place the compress on your eyes for a couple of minutes, and we promise that you will feel more alert and awake!
Nail Care
Put up your hand if you just can’t wait for your nail paint to dry! We understand that you’ve got places to go, people to see, and no time for wet nails! Dunk your freshly painted nails into an ice bath for two minutes. Not only will the lacquer dry faster, but it will also give you a smooth, shiny finish.
