Here's How To Create Your Own Makeup Cocktail!
When the word ‘cocktail’ comes to mind, do you imagine a delicious concoction of drinks that make you deliriously happy? Well, we have a new kind of cocktail that’s going to give you a buzz like no other… a beauty cocktail! Rather than going and buying a million different products (though there is no shame in that either), we decided to experiment with a few of our beauty products to come up with something more exciting. Check out the recipes below!
Eye Pencil + Cream
There’s nothing we love more than a sexy, smudged smoky eye… but we don’t have the patience to play around with an eye shadow palette. Ease up your routine by layering a moisturizer on top of your eye liner. Soften out the edges with your finger for an imperfectly cool smoky eye. We recommend Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream for a glossy, yet edgy texture.
Lipstick + Balm
We love glamorous, bold lips, but they can be quite high-maintenance. For a more low-key look, mix a long wearing lipstick with your favourite lip balm. The result? A pigmented lip that lasts for hours, without drying out your pout.
Foundation + Eye Shadow
Who doesn’t want a radiant glow? Instead of using a highlighter, blend together a few drops of your foundation with a golden eye shadow. Use a makeup sponge to pat it on for luminous, flawless skin.
Powder Blush + Eye Cream
For a natural looking flush, cream blushes are essential. However, don’t rush out to buy one! Instead, mix a bit of your powder blush with an eye cream. Press it on to the apples of your cheeks for a seamless, rosy finish.
Nude Lipstick + Red Gloss
Nude lips and smoky eyes are a classic combination, but sometimes our nude lipsticks make us look washed out. For a neutral lip that won’t make you look dull, mix a dab of true red gloss with your nude lipstick.
We may not be great bartenders, but these cocktails are our speciality. Try them out and let us know what you think!
