In the name of thorough testing, we applied the product on to our bare face. The illuminator is quite pigmented so a pea-sized amount is all you need. The texture feels light and creamy, but can be layered easily. ‘Gleam’ is a beautiful golden peach shade, which blends into a sheer, pearly glow. While you can use a makeup sponge or a stippling brush, we found that using our fingers were the best bet for this product.
We tried out this illuminator at a day wedding, and were pleased with the results. Initially we were worried that the illuminator would look too sparkly in daylight, but in reality it translated into a subtle shimmer that brought us many compliments. The colour stayed golden, without oxidising, and retained its pearly finish.
