Buying a MAC lipstick is practically a rite of passage for every teenage girl. It signifies your entry into the glamorous world of adulthood, filled with late nights and hordes of makeup. Which is why every time we buy a MAC product, we feel a rush of nostalgia and excitement. Here is our review of the brand’s Amplified Crème Lipstick in ‘Fusion Pink’.
The lipstick comes in MAC’s trademark black and silver tube. The traditional, angled bullet makes it easy to apply the colour. The shade name is mentioned on the box and below the tube.
On application, the lipstick glides smoothly on to lips, without tugging. We love the buttery and lightweight feel of the product. ‘Fusion Pink’ is a gorgeous, bright pink shade with warm undertones and a slight iridescent finish. Since this lipstick belongs to the Amplified range, one swipe is enough to coat your lips evenly. For an all-out impact, we recommend applying two coats. The product has a faint, vanilla-like fragrance to it which disappears over time.
If longevity is what you are looking for, then this lipstick is not for you. The colour wears well for about 3 hours and then fades into a pink stain. This product is not transfer-proof, so you will need to carry it around for touch-ups. On the positive side, the formula did not bleed or feather throughout its wear. It neither hydrated nor dried our lips out.
For bold lips that scream for attention, try out this hue. Fierce, creamy and pigmented, this lipstick is all you need for your next party.
