Remember when I told you that I had gone on a major lipstick-shopping spree? Well, the time has come to review another product from my haul. Here are my thoughts on the Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick in ‘Third Date’.
The lipstick comes in a sleek, rectangular tube with a magnetic cap. The packaging features a gradient design that showcases each shade fading into a deep black. This can be quite helpful if there are no testers on hand as you can see the exact shade on the tube. The bullet of this lipstick is also quite different but in a good way. The pointed tip helps the colour reach every corner of the lip, whilst the slanted and flat bullet allows for quick and even application. The shade name is mentioned on a sticker beneath the tube.

On the formula front, this lipstick is a winner. The creamy consistency ensures that the colour glides smoothly on to my lips, without any patchiness or tugging. ‘Third Date’ is a beautiful, warm-toned rose with subtle hints of berry. The formula is very pigmented so I require only a single coat to get full coverage.

After weeks of wearing this lipstick, I can safely say that I’m obsessed. The colour stays true and rich, without flaking or smudging for over 8 hours. I’ve tested it through countless lunches and coffee breaks and have found that the formula can withstand pretty much everything – except a greasy slice of pizza. It isn’t transfer-proof however, so you will find a lip mark on the edge of every cup you sip from. The formula is very comfortable to wear and didn’t dry out my lips as many matte lipsticks do.
Intense, creamy and long lasting, this lipstick is one of the best ones I’ve tried till date… and I don’t say that lightly! I’ve already got my eyes on a few other shades and can’t wait to see if they deliver the same kind of magic as this one does.
