Clinique High Impact Mascara
A large part of the conversation at the Glossip Girl headquarters revolves around television shows. After much observation, we’ve realized that no matter what crisis Olivia Pope is dealing with on Scandal, or which medical mystery Meredith Grey is solving, they have one thing in common – thick, feathery lashes. Since we aspire to have our own television series (the plot revolves around lipstick), we decided that we too need to flaunt amazing lashes. Hence, we decided to try out Clinique’s High Impact Mascara in ‘Black’.
On the packaging front, this mascara stands out from the regular black tubes. It comes bottled in a moss green tube with a sleek silver cap. Clinique’s trademark silver lettering adds to the luxe factor of this mascara. The shade name is printed on a sticker on the bottom of the tube.

Just like no man is complete without a woman, no mascara is complete without a wand. Clinique’s wand is densely packed with bristles, making it possible to coat even the shortest of lashes. The bristles comb through lashes easily and separate them to give clump-free application. A single swipe adds a high amount of pigmentation and definition to lashes. The formula does take about a minute to dry completely, so we recommend that you take a break between coats. Two coats gave us fluttery, long and black lashes.
The mascara lasted through the day without any flaking or dryness. However, if you are planning on watching a traumatic moment on Grey’s Anatomy, veer away from this mascara as it isn’t waterproof. The product completely satisfied the claims of lengthening our lashes, but did not add much volume.
All in all, if you are planning on batting your lashes at someone special, turn to Clinique’s mascara. Long lasting, intense and lengthening, this mascara will give you va-va-voom lashes in no time!
