Review: Kérastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp and Hair Concentrate

Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp and Hair Concentrate

Travel may be good for the soul, but it does tend to wreak havoc on my hair! After two months of being subjected to different climates and water, my locks literally gave up. Not only did they become dull and frizzy, but were also easily prone to breakage and hair fall. Like any other girl in my situation, I first called my mother and then took a trip to the salon. Whilst the former session calmed me, the latter had me purchase the Kerastase Initialiste Advanced Scalp and Hair Concentrate. Here is my review.

Like all Kerastase products, this concentrate is packaged luxuriously. The glass, gold-toned bottle may be heavy to lug around, but definitely feels opulent. The bottle comes with a pipette to help dispense the right amount of product.

As instructed by my stylist, I used this concentrate on freshly washed hair. After parting my hair into 5 sections, I ran the pipette along my scalp and massaged the product in for about a minute. Although the concentrate has a whitish colour, it turns invisible on application. The runny consistency helped distribute the product and did not leave a greasy finish. Since my hair is thick, I required 5-6 pipettes of the product, but those with finer hair should use a lesser amount.

The results? Miraculous. I’ve been using this product twice a week, for over a month, and my hair has never been better. Softer, shinier and infinitely more manageable, my tresses have been given a second life. The best part however, is that I don’t have to deal with losing a fistful of strands every day.

For stronger locks that look as good as they feel, turn to this product. Trust us when we say that even though it may feel weightless, there’s no doubt that this concentrate packs a punch!
