Trend Alert! Here's Why You Should Try Out Double Masking!

From Left To Right: Boscia Luminizing Black Mask, 2) The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask, and 3) Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask

Two is always better than one – especially when it comes to skincare! We’ve already gushed about how amazing double cleansing is for your skin, so it should come as no surprise to hear that we are equally obsessed with double masking. All it involves is putting two different masks simultaneously. Confused? Let us explain.

Best suited for those with combination skin, double masking is an effective way of treating different zones of your face with different ingredients. We often slap on an oil-controlling mask in an effort to decrease the shine on our T-Zone, but in the process we dry out our cheeks too! By using two masks, a clay-based one for our T-Zone and a hydrating mask for the rest of our face, we can actually achieve the complexion we dream of. So easy, right?

To get you started on your journey to flawless skin, we’ve listed out some of our favourite masks that work well with this method. For those of you who suffer from persistent acne and flaky skin, use Clinique’s Acne Solutions Oil-Control Mask on your zits, while applying Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Mask to the dry parts of your skin. If you’ve got an oily T-Zone like us, spread Origin’s Clear Improvement Active Charcoal mask on your forehead, nose and chin; and use The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Sink-In Mask on your cheeks.

In all honesty, there are infinite pairings that you can try out to treat your skin! You can use this process to literally fight against any skin woe – whether it’s wrinkles, dark spots or unevenness. Try it out once a week, and let us know how your skin feels!

P.S. If you aren’t sure which masks are right for you, shoot us a mail and we would be happy to customize a plan for you!
