We love beauty trends as much as the next person (maybe even a bit more!), but following set rules for makeup isn’t our thing. Call us rebels, but according to our team, makeup is something that is fun and adventurous! So, breaking all summer rules, we ditched our bright lips in favour of a darker hue i.e. NYX’s Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘Copenhagen’. Here is our review.
The lip colour comes in an opaque plastic tube with a black screw-on cap. The colour of the tube corresponds to the exact shade inside. A doe foot applicator is attached beneath the cap and ensures that the colour spreads evenly along lips.

On the formula front, this product gets a 10/10! With a texture that resembles of a soft mousse, this velvety lip colour is loaded with pigment. Usually, we apply two coats when we use a lipstick, but in the case of this product, one coat is more than enough. However, we recommend that you give it a minute or two to dry down completely. ‘Copenhagen’ is a vampy, burgundy shade with a completely matte finish.

We tested this hue out over drinks and boy, were we impressed! No feathering, no bleeding, and no budging… no matter how many margaritas we sipped on. The colour faded slightly over the 6 hours we had it on, but was still opaque enough not to require a touch-up. The best part however, is that this lip colour did not dry out our pout at all!
Long lasting, creamy and deliciously dark, ‘Copenhagen’ is a product worth breaking rules over! Wear it alone, or pair with a metallic lid – we guarantee that the compliments will flood in.
