Decembers are like Saturdays – filled with parties, weddings and occasions to doll up! However, the real task lies in the hands of Sunday (read: January). Not only are we bone tired, but our skin is left splotchy, dry and irritated due to the heavy makeup we adorn on these days. Since patience is not a virtue we can boast of, we knew we needed something that would calm our skin down and improve its quality – stat! After a quick (and panicked) jaunt to Sephora, we emerged with Origins Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay. Here is our review.
The mask comes in a pretty, rose pink tube that reflects the exact shade of the product. The lightweight packaging and ease of use make it a great travel product. The ingredients and directions are printed on the back.
As per the instructions, we applied the mask post cleansing. The product went on smoothly and had a slight cooling sensation to it. We recommend applying a thin layer first, and then building it up on your problem areas. As the mask dried, our skin felt tighter – but not in an unpleasant way. After about 10 minutes, we used our damp fingers to massage and rinse off the mask. The product feels gritty at this point, so those with sensitive skin should take care. The mask has a delicate, floral scent to it.
Due to stellar ingredients like Rose Clay, Canadian Willowherb, Persian Silk Tree and Jojoba Beads, this mask promises a range of benefits… and it delivers on all fronts! After just one use, our skin felt softer, smoother and detoxed. Repeated usage over the past 3 months has radically changed our skin to give it more radiance and balance. We’ve even taken to using this as a spot treatment on our zits as it reduces the redness and pain in no time.
Part exfoliator, part face mask, this double duty product is worth its weight in gold! Just layer it on while you blend your post-hangover smoothie and make way for gorgeous skin!
